A taste of New Orleans in the heart of Omaha.
Perfectly placed in Aksarben Village, Herbe Sainte brings a new feel to the area with its old world charm, delicious menu, and friendly staff. What started as a cocktail lounge soon flourished into a full-on restaurant and bar, and I understand why. When you walk into Herbe Sainte you can automatically tell that the owners put a lot of thought into the restaurant and bar.
Two walls that are floor to ceiling windows that brings in the natural light + an open kitchen that carries the aromas of the New Orleans style dishes to the dining area + a fully stocked bar serving up (what I’ve heard are) some great cocktails = the perfect atmosphere.
Havarti Clam Dip, Sweet Corn Shrimp Maque Choux, and cornbread were our recommendations from the waiter and let me just tell you…those dishes did not disappoint. I wish I had room for desert because I was dying to try their beignets, but that’s okay. It’s a good excuse to go back to eat at Herbe Sainte very soon.
