It was a day well spent in the biggest park in Madrid, Spain. Of course, this city has so much to offer, but in all the hustle and bustle, a day in El Retiro Park was just what I needed. Stretching over 350 acres of land and offering numerous activities to do, El Retiro became one of the highlights of my time in Madrid!
Here are a few reasons why….
#1 Boating in the Lake
Being a full-on city girl, the last time I went boating was probably in middle school so it was a fun and interesting experience trying to row a boat. It took a little bit of practice but I did get the hang of it!
#2 Palacio de Cristal - The Crystal Palace
This palace that is made out of glass and steel is such a beautiful piece of architecture. I loved how when the light hit the building it created a rainbow effect that filled the whole place! It was truly breathtaking!
#3 The Rose Garden
Strolling through the Rose Garden was so serene and the aromatic smell of the over 4,000 roses was heavenly. I happened to be there during the peak season for the roses which is between May and June. It was the perfect spot to spent some time to just relax!
Nothing complimented the day more than this amazing dress with the cutest floral embroidery on it! It was comfortable, very flattering, and perfect for a sunny day in the park!
